Dagdraumur from Rock Ranch
(sounds like Dag-drah-mrr)
Meaning: "Daydream"
This was our striking stallion prospect, but due to some life changes we decided to geld him. He has excellent strong bone structure, while remaining elegant and very upright. Dagdraumur has nice balanced conformation, with straight legs, hard hooves, nice slope to the shoulder, and good length of neck. He has a really beautiful head, with large eye, small ear, straight profile, and lots of Icelandic character. He moves lightly and gracefully in all 5 gaits showing lots of reach and drive in both the front and back. And if this wasn’t enough, he is a beautiful yellow dun color.
Dagdraumur is by Gymir fra Skardi a 1st prize stallion and out of Dagsbrun fra Myrdal who achieved a first prize for conformation in Iceland. Both are easy to ride, powerful horses, with good reach and height in all 5 gaits. His parents’ have wonderful, relaxed, personalities.
Dagdraumur celebrates his five year birthday in May. He has an exceptionally sweet and gentle personality, is easy to handle, loves attention, and is never pushy or rude.
Dags has been started under saddle and is doing beautifully. We've been having a blast getting to ride him out and about. He has the smoothest loose rein tolt and is so sensible!
